Lali Binyatova
Lali Binyatova is a visual artist who frequently integrates personal stories, everyday observations, and social research into her projects, focusing on the human experience as the core of her work. She has participated in numerous local and global exhibitions, including the In-Visible Festival (Azerbaijan, 2021), Bursa Photo Festival (Turkey, 2021), and the Kolga Photo Festival (Georgia, 2022 and 2024).
In 2022, she took part in a photography residency titled "Black Sea," supported by the City Hall of Poti. Lali's photographs have been featured on various platforms and in magazines such as The Guardian, Chai Khana, Revue6mois, as well as Azerbaijani publications like Baku and Nargis magazines.
From 2021 to 2023, she was a member of the "F37" Union, a platform dedicated to representing, supporting, and exhibiting photographers locally and promoting international practices. In 2023, Binyatova founded "Tecili photo," a photography community aimed at supporting and showcasing the works of contemporary Azerbaijani photographers.
In 2024, Lali joined the International "Women Photographers" community and was honored to become a finalist of the IWPA (International Women Photography Association), exhibiting at the Tbilisi Art Festival. She was commissioned by Time magazine during COP29 2024 in Azerbaijan. That same year, she became part of the Ultimate Azerbaijan TV program by BBC News.
