There are a lot of reasons why girls don’t report abuse or speak about it: some fear they will be judged, others want to avoid the pity of strangers. Many also worry they might hurt their families if they speak out about what was done to them.

My soul yearned for revolution, for the freedom to break free from the shackles of a single visual narrative. Thus, I picked up the paintbrush, delving into the kaleidoscope of colors, embracing my revolutionary spirit, and embarking on a transformative artistic journey.

When I was 16 years old, my parents made the decision to move from our hometown of Bratsk to Baku. This decision brought unexpected changes to my life, and I felt lost and vulnerable in this new environment. During this period, memories became my anchor, a way to cope with the new reality.

Is a photo project that immerses into the life and atmosphere of a small town in southern Azerbaijan, which is the homeland of my parents. Since 2020, I have been working on this project, which has become a deep and personal exploration dedicated to my late father.
